Derek PicardFounder and Chief People Officer
Derek brings a passion for helping small business owners stay organized and get the most out of their business for themselves, their families and employees. He has nearly 18 years of experience within the small business community. His career focuses on everyday business owners via work in public policy, advocacy, research, post-secondary teaching, service and – most importantly – as a small business owner himself since 2004. A graduate of the University of Waterloo, he holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree.
Jacky WongService Manager, The “Booky”
Jacky brings nearly 12 years of experience in accounting, financial planning and bookkeeping to the small business community. His passion is providing great customer service to the SBP Community and helping business owners stay focused on their business. Jacky graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Arts.

Julie’s passion is assisting small business owners leverage the basics of social media to connect with their customers, community as well as build awareness. A graduate of Centennial College, where she earned an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration-Marketing.
Jennifer PicardCreative Director, “Chief Cheerleader”
Jen brings 15 years of process, budgeting and project and events planning experience to the SBP Community. She graduated from Centennial College — where she earned an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration-Marketing as well as from Ryerson University, where she earned a Diploma in Fashion Coordination and Styling.
